Pictured are Fine Gael TD, Mr John O’Mahony alongside principal Mr David McDonagh and deputy Ms Concepta Moran. Mr O’Mahony was at the school to formally congratulate the school on the announcement of a multi-million refurbishment of the school. Mr. McDonagh has warmly welcomed the addition of the school on the Government’s five year school building plan. The project is scheduled to go to construction in 2015. This is very exciting news that will ensure that BCS remains at the cutting edge of educational developments for many years to come. Mr. McDonagh wishes to thank the many people who helped advance the project over the years and especially John O’Mahony TD who did so much to get the necessary funding in place.
Congratulations to Transition Year student Rachel Lyons who finished in the top 10 in the Science Olympiad competition for second level students. It is a fantastic achievement and Rachel deserves great credit.
