TY2 students recently trained as Peer 4 Peer Facilitators. They are currently delivering the Peer 4 Peer programme to 5th/6th class pupils in the local primary schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their leadership, public speaking, time management, teamwork and organisational skills. It also places them in a position of responsibility where they are role models and guides for young people embarking on their teenage years.
Hard luck to our U-14 Girls Gaelic team who were defeated by a strong Ursuline College (Sligo) side in the Connaught semi-final recently. The girls came up against strong opposition in the Sligo team who got off to a strong start. There was only 3 points in it at the interval, but the Sligo girls pulled away in the 2nd half. Well done to the BCS girls who have laid some good foundations this year and have every reason to be hopeful for the future. Well done also to Ms Kirsty Phillips who managed and trained the team and who has every reason to be genuinely proud of the girls both on and off the field.
