1st and 2nd Years had a great day out in Ballina today, for the Mayo Badminton competition. The 2nd Year Boys won the cup competition. They beat two strong Louisburg teams in the semifinal and final, with Pavel, Adam, Conn, Mohammed, and Dylan emerging victorious. All students competed well with the girl’s team losing narrowly in the plate semifinal, after a great win in the quarter final. The Boys 1st Year team were extremely unlucky. After winning their first two games they came unstuck in the cup quarter final. After drawing 3-3 it went to points scored and they lost by narrowest of margins. Well done to all involved.
