Huge congratulations to the BCS U-17 soccer team, who deservedly captured the Connacht Shield yesterday!

They beat a tough St Muredach’s side 2-1 in Milebush, Castlebar. Roared on by their vociferous supporters, the team put in a monumental shift in the sweltering heat to see us through.

Keelan Flynn finished a fine, flowing move to put us ahead, and an own goal just after half-time – following some superb pressing from the lads – doubled our advantage.

The lads dug deep and held firm to secure a famous victory. It’s nothing less than they deserve after working hard and training throughout the year.
