A cohort of TY students travelled to Mullingar last Friday to take part in the Ideas Made Real programme, hosted by Irish Manufacturing Research. As part of the event, students worked in groups to design and prototype a 3D-printed model that addressed a problem in one of the following areas: Sustainability, Technology, Education, or Health.
Over 30 schools participated in the programme, with more than 70 projects showcased. Out of the six categories available, Ballyhaunis secured two awards: Most Innovative and Creative Project and Best Overall Project.
This is a fantastic testament to the students’ hard work and dedication over the past few months.

Congratulations to Mr McManamon and all of our participating groups. The products created by our students received excellent feedback from the judges.
A special thank you to EPS Group for sponsoring the school with a 3D printer and giving our students the opportunity to take part in this fantastic event.
