Áine Whelan – R.I.P

Everybody associated with BCS was greatly saddened to hear of the recent passing of Ms. Áine Whelan after a short illness. Áine was a member of the original staff in 1977 and was a very popular teacher of PE for over three decades. Áine worked tirelessly to ensure that school life was enjoyable and rewarding for as many students as was possible through her commitment to extra-curricular activities, most notably basketball and the many musicals she produced.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the Whelan family and her many friends at this time. Ni bheidh a leitheid aris ann. RIP
