Junior Cycle
Pupils entering first year are starting the Junior Certificate Course as laid down by the Department of Education. Each student in first year will take a wide range of subjects which will include languages, social sciences, art and cultural, applied sciences, physical education and religion.
First Year Subjects
Irish, English, Maths, French, Music, Science, Religion, Business Studies, Technical Graphics, History, Home Economics, Art, Materials Technology – Wood, Materials Technology – Metal, Geography, CSPE/SPHEPE, PE and IT.
At the end of the year the Career Guidance Counsellor assisted by the teachers will be in a better position to advise parents and students on the most suitable choice of subjects.
Second and Third Year Subjects
Irish, English, Maths, History, Geography, Science, Religion, PE, CSPE/SPHE.
Three choices from: French, Music, Home Economics, Art, Materials Technology – Wood, Materials Technology – Metal and Business Studies.
