It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of our former colleague; Micheal Murren (Hawlie). Hawlie was a popular and well regarded member of the original teaching staff in BCS. As a teacher of Maths he had the wonderful skill of being able to simplify the most complex of conundrums and make it accessible for his students. He will also be remembered as a great GAA man and countless students benefited from his selfless promotion of Gaelic Football as a coach and manager.
He had a gentle, kind presence that earned the respect of the entire school community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Hawlie’s brother Eamonn, his extended family and his many friends at this difficult time.
Ni bheidh a leithead ann aris. May he Rest In Peace.
