Our 5th Year students enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Spain recently.

Well done to our BCS Juvenile Boys Hurling Team who took on Roscommon Community College today, in the Connacht Final at Creggs GAA.

BCS played host to an inter-school debate friendly last Friday, the 4th of April.

The girls’ badminton competition took place today in Ballina. BCS gave it their all and put in a strong performance, narrowly missing out in the semi-final.

The annual Mayo Badminton League took place yesterday in Ballina, with BCS. emerging as one of the most successful schools of the day, securing medal placements across various age groups.

The Bus Éireann School Transport Family Portal for the 2025/2026 school year is now open for applications and payments.

Transition Year students attended the AXA RSA Roadshow in the TF Royal Theatre, in Castlebar today.

Yesterday was an important day at Ballyhaunis Community School. The Schools of Sanctuary Committee had their monitoring day, marking the culmination of a year-and-a-half-long journey.

A huge congratulations to all our senior students who received their Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA) today!

The BCS girls gave it their all against a very physical Scoil Mhuire agus Íde, Limerick in the All-Ireland Semi-final on Friday.

BCS Senior Boys rounded off a fantastic year with well-deserved silverware in a final played under extremely tough weather conditions, against St. Louis, Kiltimagh in the COE.

TY students Jorja Hession, Fiona Duffy, Erin Hibbitt and Chloe Hurley recently represented BCS at the regional ACCS debating competition, hosted by Glenamaddy Community School.

Today FM DJ Alison Curtis and her crew recently visited BCS. Alison met with a number of students to discuss what life is like for young people living in Ballyhaunis in 2025.

Congratulations to our Junior Girls Gaelic Football team who have won a Connacht title after a great performance and win over Glenamaddy. They will now go forward to an All-Ireland Semi-final. Well done and Best of luck!

On Thursday, January 30th, as part of Senior Options Week, our 3rd Year and Transition Year students explored the 17 subjects available in Senior Cycle at BCS during the Senior Cycle Subject Fair.
