Happy St. Brigid’s Day, the first day of Spring.

First and Second Year Girls had a very successful basketball outing with Ms. O’ Donnell to play Charlestown, on Tuesday last.

Congratulations to Carlagh Peake (6th Yr.) who secured her 6th National Boxing title yesterday, at the National Stadium Dublin.

Today our 1st Year boys had a comprehensive win against St Jarlath’s College, Tuam.

The Green Schools Water Ambassadors gave a talk to first-year students during CSPE classes this week. They discussed water conservation and Ireland’s water issues.

𝐁𝐓 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭 Transition Year students travelled to the RDS in Dublin yesterday to attend the BT Young Scientist Competition.

Ms. Cox and a group of BCS students travelled to St Gerald’s College in Castlebar today, to participate in Mayo Schools Cup Chess Competition 2024.

The BCS Senior Boys Gaelic Football team played in the Connacht quarter final today, against Presentation College Athenry, in the COE.

On Thursday, Transition Year students participated in a CSI workshop trying to find out who really assassinated JFK?

The first, second and third-year book clubs met this week to discuss their latest read.

Today the senior ladies played their last game of the season against Dunmore Community School.

On Wednesday, our Junior Boys travelled to Glenamaddy to play Mountbellew in the Connaught quarter finals.

All our wonderful First Year students received their own daffodil bulb this week. The bulbs signify the start of the journey each student is experiencing as they begin school life at BCS.

We are very much looking forward to ‘Wellness Week 2023’ which starts tomorrow morning.

On Tuesday BCS Junior Boys’ Basketball Team played against Rice College at home.

Last week, three members of last year’s Transition Year Future Leaders class accepted a National Silver Award in Croke Park on behalf of their class.
